A couple of months ago Spin Magazine published my photo of Jona from Bring Me The Horizon in their Soundcheck section. Photographers weren’t permitted front of stage to take photos so I shot this from the side of the crowd. I have three limited editions of this print for sale here. More pictures from Soundwave 2011…

Here are a few portraits, both new and old that I’m yet to share online. The picture above is of my friend and fellow photographer Chris Ireland. Chris dropped by with a borrowed large format camera and we snapped a few portraits of each other. It was my first time using 4x5 and I found it a bit cumbersome but the negatives were really nice.
The portrait of Minnie was a spur of the moment shoot using just my iPhone and desk lamp. Pretty high tech eh?.
It’s been ages since my last blog update and the longer I leave it the more I have to write about. So here it goes…
When I started photography in 2004 I used to only shoot film. I had a Nikon FE2 and a manual 85mm lens. Negatives are objects you can hold and the only danger to them is physical damage or loss….
I’ll be using this blog to talk about my own photography, ideas, inspirations and experiences. Here are some of the things on my to-write list…

Welcome to my first blog post. I’ve been putting this off for a while because it takes me forever to write these things. I’m so used to thinking in images that writing can feel like a bit like an uphill battle, but I’ll keep at it and I hope to share some interesting posts soon…
